Matthew 25:36
West Tennessee Kairos Prison Ministry is a ministry by persons drawn from a broad range of denominational churches. Memphis area activities are financially supported by the Memphis churches and by individuals who offer their time, money and energy as team members for the Kairos weekends held at the West Tennessee State Prison. WTSP, as it is referred to, houses some 2800 residents and 700 officers and is located in Henning, Tennessee about 8 miles west of Ripley.
To learn more about WTSP and to see where it is located, click here to visit the website of the Department of Corrections.
We have 2 weekends a year and they are:
- the 1st full weekend of March and
- the 3rd full weekend of September with 18-24 residents and the same number of volunteers
We are guided by the Advisory Council which is made up of 12-14 past volunteers. If you are interested in this ministry you may write the address below or e-mail one of the contacts listed.
